I just bought this dress tonight. Its so damn hot outside (but Im not complaining) and this dress is perfect to survive the heat. I don't even have any swass, so its working at keeping me cool. I was down at Divine and checked out their vintage section tonight...and wouldn't you know it, they were having a sale. I was told by the perkiest sales associate ever, that if I bought 2 vintage pieces, the third one was free. She was so chipper and helped me sort through the racks of second hand dresses. She was actually a bit of fresh air as most retail staff are less than helpful and downright rude these days (or maybe I'm just getting old).Divine is a bit of an Edmonton institution. Its just funny, cuz I can still remember the first time I went into Divine when I was 16. It was so unlike any of the stores at the mall and I was so intimidated by the goth/punk girls who worked there. I so badly wanted a pair of red Doc Martens (yeah I'm old) but I was too shy to ask for help. Those girls seemed so cool and I was the complete opposite of cool. The girl tonight was young enough that I probably could have been her babysitter, (hell had I been a sluttier teenager, she could have been my daughter)
But I bought this red sundress, made a quick stop at Megatunes for their closing out sale, (another independent store goes the way of the dinosaur) and headed home to watch the sunset.. and some Big Brother.
